What is Telehealth?

Telehealth describes the use of digital technology, including telephone and video-conferencing to enable clinical care between a health professional and their client. Telehealth is available for all clients, though until recently, there were restrictions regarding the use of Telehealth for Medicare rebated sessions. Please note that the attendance policy of The Dash - Health Hub applies to Telehealth Services.

What technology do I need for Telehealth?

Just your phone or computer and google chrome. No downloading apps or other technology necessary.

Telehealth Video Appointments will be held via Powerdiary from 22nd January 2024.

How do I access Telehealth? It's Easy - We Promise!

You will receive a courtesy reminder which will include the link to the Telehealth Video appointment, it will look something like this https://my.powerdiary.com/clientportal/businessname/telehealth/NHt4Kt1w8J

  • Please ignore this link if your appointment is via Telehealth Phone call.

  • if you do not receive a link by the day of your Telehealth Video appointment, please contact our Admin team.

5 minutes prior to the time of your appointment (to allow for any technical issues), you can click on your link which will open in your web browser, or copy and paste the link to your preferred web browser (e.g. Chrome). The link contains the key to access your session, so no additional logins are needed.

A Few Things To Check... Before you can connect to your practitioner's Telehealth session, kindly ensure that you:

  • are using the latest version of your web browser. This website will quickly check for you: https://www.whatismybrowser.com/

  • have properly connected your microphone and camera to your computer, and is accessible by your browser. You can quickly test this here: https://www.loom.com/webcam-mic-test

  • are getting the proper internet speeds as advertised by your Internet Service Provider. To check your internet speed, please visit: https://fast.com/
